FS-ISAC hosted an international cybersecurity summit at World Forum The Hague. Hundreds of participants from the financial sector gathered for keynotes, panels and networking. As congress photographer I was responsible for a complete visual report: from plenary sessions to informal conversations in the corridors.
World Forum is one of The Hague's leading congress venues. The large halls, clean lines and professional lighting make it ideal for congress photography — provided you know how to handle backlight at stages and busy corridors. At FS-ISAC everything revolved around content and trust; images had to carry that serious tone without becoming stiff.
Congress photography requires structure. In advance I align with the organisers on session priorities, which speakers need individual coverage and when images will be shared live. During the congress I alternate between wide shots that show scale and portraits that capture faces and expression. Breaks are ideal for networking images — that is where the human side of a professional congress emerges.
FS-ISAC operates internationally; participants expect images that are immediately usable for communications across countries. Consistent lighting, neutral backgrounds for portraits and a clear visual line throughout the day make the difference. Afterwards I deliver a curated selection the organisation can use for annual reports, press and social channels.
